Soldiers are not heroes they are tools of war

When I think about what are the professions in which a person endangers his life, I came to know that there are many professions but let me sort out some of them for example police, ambulance drivers, bomb disposal squads, security guards, street watchman, firemen, and yes of course soldiers. But when we ask somebody which profession is the most dangerous the answer is always, army, the killing force. Most of the time we say things by getting inspired with what media and the hype created around us and this is the reason of why people think being a soldier is the most dangerous profession. Let us make us clear our perceptions.
We can see the poster of a soldier coming from the battlefield and hugging his child, why our perception is that he is special? Is he far away from his children, so a person working on ship or a petroleum field also keep himself away from his city and his family and friends. Is he getting underpaid? We can see a policeman who dangers his life the same way fighting with the gangsters and still getting a far less pay as compared to that of a army personnel.
And when we compare paid armed forces with freedom fighters around the world we see that so called indiscipline freedom fighters are doing the same work with less ammunition, less food and necessary resources. They are risking their lives the same way as armies are doing; they are even not getting paid for what they are doing. If working in danger is the criteria then they got the same rating as of soldier.
The situation becomes clearer when we see that the wars created by army are never ending and more and more soldiers (which were first normal human beings) are becoming killing machines and getting involved in the wars, with more money and more weapons getting involved each day.
The reason of why this hype is created is to rise up the soldier or paid army personnel to the level that people admire so that the international establishment or the stakeholders must keep moving forward their created wars and involve more person more weapons and more killings. And to avoid people from raising criticism on these wars and to lower any resistance attempt they created hate between countries so that people will not demand the stoppage of war but to keep them fighting till the end.
But we have to change this perception, we have to see the other side of mirror, we have to think beyond what media tells us, to replace our patriotisms based on hate with love based patriotism, to save us and our generations from wars, to save our taxes and human resource being involve in these wars, we must analyze what’s best for our country and raise our voices for that.

Note/Clarification: The article is not written on army of any specific country but we can see this situation being happening all over the world. Secondly, this article is not to devalue army, but to clarify that other professionals also have the same importance, but are not been given special coverage by media.

Controversial Burqa Avenger

Few days ago I came to know about the anime series which is been made in Pakistan Burrqa Avenger is the project of a old singer Haroon, two things were shocking for me, ok an animated cartoon series of Pakistan for its own, the second and the more shocking thing is that this project started and completed and we didn’t knew, why this is so much secrecy, but as I looked into the depth I came to know that this secrecy is the strategic planning of the production team to avoid the people from opposition and to avoid any attempts to stop the project.
Now the question arise why anyone would try to stop the project or why they will oppose this innocent children cartoon, the answer is so simple, it is against our Islamic culture. Since so long we have seen that media have done things which are always opposite of the Islamic culture of Pakistan, whether it is some projects like “Aman ki Asha”, “Khuda Kay Liye”, “Chal Parha” and similar stuff. We have seen that all these projects are not according to the culture.
So this time they knew that people are wise and they will reject any attempt to attack the faith of people, so they came up with a slight different idea which seems innocent from the bird eye view but a horrible reality when closely monitored.
First of all Burqa or Hijab is a religious identity, it is respectful for Muslims, it is an Islamic way of life, but in this cartoon it is being used by the girl Jiya with a different perspective which is to hide her identity.
Jiya is normally a non-Muslim name, it is a famous name in the Hindu culture and you can see this in most of the Hindi movies girls are named Jiya. This is another aspect; I wonder if they are showing a Pakistani culture why cant they able to choose a name more mainstream or more Islamic. Strange!
In another seen of the trailer the Jiya who is teacher is shown writing on the Black Board the word “Basant”, if they are advertising this in the trailer, you can surely expect what they might be communicating in the whole series, and once our children will go through the whole process, we can easily expect what they will become.
Second and the most shocking, it is being released with a game called “Burqa Madness”, can you imagine that a religious respectful thing been attached with the word “Madness” in my opinion this is an open blasphemy of an Islamic principle “Hijab”. I still wonder why they did not thought about this while making this game didn’t they did a brainstorming session on the names, or all this stuff was planned in order to do a mockery of the Islamic fundamentals so that slowly people can be used to such stuff and later they come up with a bigger thing.
The girl Jiya seen in this cartoon fighting with the help of books and pens, non sense, again talking about the Pakistani or an Islamic culture books is a religious element, we used to respect books and equipment of education, we used to give respect and touch it to eyes if mistakenly we drop any of our book. But in this cartoon, the girl is shown throwing away books. Children do what they see, I remember we used to jump like Thunder cats and make fake swords like them after seeing the carton, so if this project will be on-air we will be expecting our kids to throw away the respect of books and pens and they will be using it as fighting equipment from now on.
Last, I would like to suggest all parents to boycott these anime series in case it gets on aired, and also all those who want to see a better Islamic culture in Pakistan must oppose this series in the forums, there is so much in the trailer what will you expect when the whole series might got released. I also want to give a message to these flop singer like Haroon & Shahzad Roy that try to do good for the nation rather becoming a selfless puppet been funded by the enemies of Islam.
